The Who -Gary Herman

The Who -Gary Herman

1971 Rockbooks
ISBN 289 70134 1

The first book about The Who published in 1971, and covers the period prior to the Release of Who’s Next. Illustrated with black and white photos of the band throughout. It doesn’t have the feel of a cash in and as with the Nic Cohn book it is some of the earliest critical writing of The Who and the sixties music scene. Easily obtained on ebay and well worth the few pounds usually charged. Shame about the Entwhistle.

This is another “programme” covering multiple shows by different artists at the Rainbow. The Who played three nights between 4 - 6/11/71.
